IBTS 2004 - The professional choice

IBTS, International Audio Video Broadcasting Motion Picture and Telecommunications Show, was born in 1986 in Milan Fairgrounds, as a reference showcase for international technological innovation in Broadcasting and for "made in Italy" technology, evolving until this year, into Crossmedia Marketplace . For 2004, IBTS aims to continue in its path by confirming its image of Professional Trade Fair and by putting forth an event which is able to meet the demands expressed by the global market of Digital Communication. At IBTS 2004 the companies producing AV digital Systems and Services will find the apt setting in an environment rich in opportunities and with highly selected and
mainly B2B visitors. The integration between technologies - increasingly present within IBTS - will find further stimulation and development with the participation of new settings ready for future production
challenges. Starting from 2004, IBTS, joining a wider project aiming to support and lend new swing to national audiovisual production and production technologies, is presented to exhibitors and visitors as a rapidly developing - and again yearly appointment.
IBTS will take place at Milan Fairgounds from the 13th to the 16th of October -, dates overlapping with, and pavilions connected to MIFED, one of the most important crossmedia international events, with whom it will also be in cooperation. The collaboration with the company Audiovisual Industry Promotion (Cinecittà Holding - Fiera Milano Spa) will allow to further magnify IBTS national and international visibility, offering visitors a fair setting running through the whole Global Communication product range: from AV digital Systems and Services to the supply of Cinema, Television, Home Video and Multimedia contents.
IBTS 2003 IN NUMBERS
15.600 people visited IBTS during the four 2003 exhibiting days (18% foreign), 6% more than 2001, as a result of the intense promotional work developed throughout 2003. In the conventions and workshops area, 5.800 professionals joined the various sessions, held by 180 national and international speakers, discussing 120 different themes, and transforming IBTS Forum into a very high level and attractive event for visitors hailing either from traditional sectors or from new converging vertical markets.
IBTS ON-LINE
In a few months' time, the new IBTS.info portal has become an important information crossroads, with peaks of 1.700 single daily visitors. The HomePage, enriched by continuous updates regarding
exhibitor news, was especially appreciated. IBTS.info newsletter reached 80.000 companies selected from a diverse basket of product 55.000 copies of "Obbiettivo IBTS", the trade fair's official magazine, were printed and distributed for free both in Italy and abroad. 75 pages were published on advertising media, for a total of 700.000 contacts. 160 articles about the event were edited by newspapers and periodicals.
